Description
At 11 years old, Haqeek is old enough to understand what’s going on around him. Coming from Bammanna, where he last lived with his Mother’s younger sister and his own older sister; Haqeek’s whole bearing suggests he still misses his mother who passed away.
He comes across to me as a sweet little child, and a bright one. He listed Science and Islam under his favorite subjects, and said that he’d like to go on to become a Doctor.
With Rashmi and the others he plays cricket and football at the home in the evenings. When I asked him what he liked most and disliked most, both at the Home and in the environment around him, he gave me his little smile and said he likes everything, even as I managed to snap a picture of him smiling.
