Description
The younger of a pair of token twins at the Good Light Home, Hussain from Panadura smiles a lot. He lived with his mom, Uncle and twin brother at home, before they both came to GLH.
Speaking good Tamil, and very basic English, Hussain tells me that he likes the place, specially all the facilities they have here, including a regular supply of running water, which he did not have back home.
In school, he says, his favorite subject is English. He spends his time at the home reading, and playing with his friends Ismatullah and Nizaam. Badminton and Cricket are his favorites.
Hussain says he likes to do something involving mechanics, but his basic ambition was very simple and telling like most of his friends’ at the home; he just wanted to study and become a big person.
